Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been sent a huge warning for the future after the monarch went “too far” with her criticism of the Royal Family. At the beginning of 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex resigned from their royal duties when they moved to the United States, and months later in October of that year, they announced the establishment of Archewell. The group includes the partner’s not-for-profit arm, The Archewell Foundation, as well as for-profit business divisions focused on content production – Archewell Audio and Archewell Productions.
The pair have spent a lot of time raising awareness of Archewell since then, gaining worldwide recognition for their efforts.
But the bombshell accusations against the Royal Family, both in the latest Netflix documentary series and Harry’s new memoir, Spare, have left one advertising expert frustrated by their brand strategy and warning of trouble. which he produced in the future.
Pauline Maclaran, Professor of Marketing and Consumer Research at Royal Holloway University of London, told Express.co.uk: “Harry has gone too far with his criticism of the Royal Family. He certainly doesn’t go once- once with this.
“What is missing in all this is the Sussex brand. What is the Sussex brand?
“We know they are no longer allowed to use Sussex Royal so they set up the Archewell Foundation, and Archewell Productions and Archewell Audio. The partnerships with Netflix and Spotify tie into all of that.
“But in all this chaos and all the talk, all the talk is about the Sussexes, Harry, and of course ‘Spare’, which is all kinds of floating around.
“You don’t hear anything about Archewell and it seems like Archewell is getting completely lost in all this other stuff.”
Professor Maclaran said the criticisms made by Harry in his new book meant that any name associated with the couple was a “criticism and rejection of the royal family”, warning: “That is not a very good situation. in the future.”

A marketing expert said: “The Netflix documentary series and Harry’s book – it’s very difficult to see how they tie in with the Archewell Foundation’s mission, which is to inspire, bring the community together and have a general focus on compassion. .
“Criticism of the Royal Family can be very dangerous because what you have seen in the docu-series and in Harry’s book, which seems to present itself as a victim, his identity is related to criticism.
“Any identity they have right now is very critical and dismissive of the royal family. That’s not a very good situation going forward. Archewell is completely lost in this.”
Professor Maclaran advised Harry and Meghan to “step aside” now that they have made their position clear about some of the issues they have with the royal family.

He encouraged them to focus on building the name of Arcehwell, but warned that this could not happen if they continued to pretend to be “rebel lords”.
The expert concluded: “Harry and Meghan should now leave. They have stated their position and need to move forward.
“Look at the focus on building Archewell, with brands like Invictus and other important causes where they can go in the future and show themselves as a strong progressive brand, which I think was their main goal.
“But they won’t do that if they’re posing as rebel royals when the two sides are fighting each other.”
