After learning how to lock incognito tabs on Chrome mobile, you can add an extra layer of security to the tabs you want to minimize.
Obviously, one of the reasons you can use incognito mode is that Chrome doesn’t store your activity history. It makes sense then that you probably don’t want this activity to be visible while the tabs are still open. After all, you don’t want your partner to pick up your phone and see all the ankle photos you’ve been browsing.
Fortunately, Chrome now has a feature that lets you lock your incognito tabs with your device’s password when you close the browser. This means that as long as someone doesn’t know your password, they won’t be able to pick up your unlocked phone and peek around your secret tabs.
This feature has been available in the iOS Chrome app for a while now. However, it has not been released on all Android devices at this time, even if your Android version and Chrome are up to date. You can still do it with Chrome Flags, which we’re here to help you with.
