When it comes to derivatives, the ASUS ROG Phone 6 series certainly doesn’t lack for them. The phone is currently available in six different models, including the Diablo Immortal Edition that recently arrived in Malaysia.
First revealed to the world last month, the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition can be easily identified by the back, which features the game’s logo and a drawing of the main villain, Skarn. Game “Immortality awaits” label is also present on the rear camera module of the phone.
ASUS has also implemented a number of Diablo Immortal theme designs into the phone’s launcher, including live wallpapers and sound effects. There are even custom animations for its lock screen, incoming call notification and charging logo.
The phone itself isn’t enough, the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition is housed in a box that was modeled after Worldstone. The phone also comes with a custom-made Immortality Ejector Pin, Shield Blessing Aero Case, and a Sanctuary Map Scroll that can interact with the included Fahir’s Light.
The gaming phone and all its exclusive goodies are packaged in another custom box with a Horadric Cube-inspired design. However, we can’t confirm that there will be smoke coming out of the box, as ASUS showed in the phone’s official unboxing video above.
In terms of hardware, the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SOC coupled with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and UFS3.1-based 512GB storage. It also features a 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
On the photography front, the phone’s primary camera features a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor paired with an f/1.9 lens. Its rear camera module also includes a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro camera, while the front of the phone also has a 12MP selfie camera.
In addition to the AirTrigger 6 ultrasonic sensors, the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition is completed by a 6,000 mAh battery. ASUS has also equipped the phone with a 65W HyperCharge adapter that allows you to recover 100% battery capacity from 0% in just 42 minutes.
As for the price, the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition is available for RM4,999. This makes it the most expensive ROG Phone 6 variant in Malaysia. A status the device shared with the MediaTek-based ROG Phone 6D Ultimate that launched in our market last month.
In the meantime, please note that this unit is not the standard AeroActive Cooler 6. Gamers can purchase the active cooler separately for RM349 at ASUS Mobile Store Lazada and other authorized ASUS ROG resellers, just like the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition itself.
